How this works
Everything you type stays in this page. The invoice is assembled into a PDF by your own browser and saved straight to your disk — there is no account, no server storing your client list, and no copy of your invoice anywhere but your computer. Your own business details are kept in your browser's local storage so you do not retype them, and the "Forget my details" button clears that whenever you want.
What makes an invoice valid
Rules vary by country, but almost every tax authority expects the same core: the word "invoice", a unique sequential number, the date it was issued, your full business name and address, your client's name and address, a clear description of what was supplied, the amount due, and your tax registration number if you have one. This generator includes all of those. If you are registered for GST, VAT or sales tax, check your local requirements for anything extra — some jurisdictions want the tax shown as a separate line, which this does, and some want specific wording.
Why invoice numbers should be sequential
A unique, sequential number is how you and your accountant prove no invoice is missing. Pick a pattern and keep to it — INV-0001, or 2026-001 if you restart each year. The generator increments the number automatically when you start a new invoice, so the sequence looks after itself.
Fonts and alphabets
The PDF uses the standard fonts built into every PDF reader, which keeps the file small and makes it open identically everywhere. Those fonts cover English and Western European alphabets. Characters outside that range — Devanagari, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and others — cannot be drawn with them, so the tool tells you if it had to drop anything rather than failing silently or producing a broken file. For the Indian rupee the invoice uses "Rs." for the same reason.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded. The invoice is built locally, so you can disconnect and keep working. That is also why there is nothing to delete afterwards and no privacy policy to read.
