What your subscriptions actually cost

Add everything you pay for on repeat. Small monthly charges have a way of adding up to something much larger.

How the maths works

Every subscription is converted to a yearly figure first, then divided back down for the monthly number. A weekly charge is multiplied by 52, a monthly one by 12, a quarterly one by 4, and a half-yearly one by 2. That keeps mixed billing cycles comparable, which is where most people lose track.

Why the yearly number is the one to look at

Services are priced monthly because a small number is easier to agree to. Seen as a yearly figure, the same charge sits next to real decisions: a flight home, a month of rent, a new laptop. Nothing here tells you to cancel anything. It just shows the number you are actually agreeing to.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser and your list is saved in local storage on this device. There is no account, no server, and nothing is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes it.

What counts as a subscription?

Anything that bills on repeat: streaming, music, cloud storage, gym memberships, software, newsletters, insurance, broadband, phone plans. People usually remember the big ones and forget four or five small ones, which is where the surprise comes from.
